I'd like to know how I can do the same thing but create a shortcut / custom button to "add current tabs to favorites"

what are the parameters to ie or this would be different? I don't want to call a new instance of IE, just execute the shortcut, also is there an API available that we can take a look at so we can customize other buttons?
