Feedback: Fix IE Utility to Repair Internet Explorer
We are pleased to release the Fix IE Utility v 1.0. This freeware portable utility re-registers all the concerned dll & ocx files required for the smooth operation of Internet Explorer.
If you face problems while running IE, maybe after recovering from a malware attack, run this tool to re-register around 89 dll & ocx files, which are required for the smooth running of Internet Explorer.
Before running the utility, make sure that all your Internet Explorer windows are closed.

Compatibility
With which versions of Internet Explorer is Fix IE compatible?

Its been tried on IE 8 & IE 7.
I have also mentioned a few IE troubleshooting steps/links here.
If some dll gets un-registered, functionality may suffer. For instances if when you click on a link, which requires a new window to be opened, all you get is a blank white page with nothing on it, then one has to re-register urlmon.dll.
What this utility does is basically re-register all the dll & ocx files.
The software seems to have been well received with it being covered on MajorGeeks, Softpedia, etc
It also received Top Software award from: DownloadTube.
