Thumbs up Feedback: Metro UI Tweaker for Windows 8

The first tweaking utility for Windows 8 has been developed by L.W. for The Windows Club.

Metro UI Tweaker is a freeware tool, designed to tweak a few settings that are unavailable to users in Windows 8.

If you wish to give feedback or suggestions, you may do so in this thread.

Nice one. There are already mane tweaks for W8 out there.
Wouldn't it be an idea to separate downloads for W7 and W8?

Thanks Japp. Maybe once there are more apps available this might be something to look at, but as of right now, pretty much what works for Windows 7 also works for Windows 8 aside from the Metro UI.

Disabling just the Start menu disables the Task Manager UI too?

    Default Reg values

Can you tell us the registry keys/values for "Metro Options" i.e. that values that disable the ribbon etc?

alsiladka: Yes, it does disable the Metro Style Task Manager as well. I have a new option in the next update that will remove the Start Menu but leave the other Metro based options.

tuxplorer: The only registry key that is used is the rpenabled key which is the key that enables\disables all Metro elements. The other 2 are file modifications.

Hey great tool, except disabling the Metro start menu only while keeping the Explorer ribbon, gives me this error on an x64 reboot or log off.

The message disappears after an [OK] with no ill effects, but still - any ideas?
