Default InstallGuard prevents installation of unauthorized software

PC owners looking to prevent family members from installing malicious software, try InstallGuard. The ingenious program when downloaded and installed, silently protects your Windows 7 machine against any unauthorized software installation or unwarranted programs.

It does not give any warning or prompt while running so; a user who is unaware of its installation might think that the program they are attempting to download may be corrupt, thereby forcing them to quit the installation of software.

Best part, the configuration window of InstallGuard displays which applications were blocked from installation and what time.

    Download Install Guard.

    Hi !

Don´ let your family use an ADMIN-account...
Also, you should not use an ADMIN-account yourself.
Create a new USER-account (standard) instead
Then only use your ADMIN-account when it´s really needed, fx. when you are doing a lot of system maintenance.
If they have a USER-account then they can´t install anything...

    You´re welcome !

How to change your ADMIN-account into a USER-account

open control panel → user account control
    create a new ADMIN-account
change the old ADMIN account into a USER-account (Standard)

Then you´ll have your "old" desktop with icons etc in your new USER-account.
After the change you have an "empty" ADMIN-account, but that should not be any real problems, since you only need it for "system maintenance",
as you would be using the USER-account for "normal" work such as surfing the web & checking your email etc.

If you fx. want to have the same desktop on both accounts anyway, then just copy what you really need from USER to ADMIN-account.
The desktop are located in: C\users\YOUR USERNAME\Desktop

YOUR USERNAME above means your actual username.
fx. in my case it´s :
    C\users\HACKERMAN\Desktop
Copy the "Desktop"-folder from the USER-account to the new ADMIN-account.
