Arrow Windows Club To Nominate Members for Microsoft MVP award. - 10-08-2008, 04:57 PM

WindowsClub / WinVistaClub will nominate its top contributor in the forum for the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award.

It is not an easy thing to become an MVP. But we will help you to become one. You dont have to be an uber-geek to become one; just an understanding of Windows OS and the desire to help others.

Not only will we take into consideration your activity here, but also in addition to it, your activities in other forums which you visit and your blogging initiatives, if any.

To begin with, the first nomination would be done sometime in Jan 2009. I, the Forum Admin & the Moderators will try to shortlist one candidate, based on his participation here. He/She would be approached for additional details, including the other forums he may be visiting and/or blog details, if any. Depending on his country of residence, we will either send the person the Nomination Forms, or forward his application directly to the appropriate person.

Yes, you can be from ANY country. We will take up the matter with the appropriate Microsoft Office / MVP Lead. While a nomination does not ensure that the Award will be given, we will make sure it reaches the right place ... and a nomination by an MVP would carry extra points.

The interested member can PM us expressing his interest. Based on the decision of the Forum Admins & the Mods, TWC may decide to nominate the member.

MVP is an award and not a certificate. It is given based on your activity on the internet in helping others and sharing your knowledge with others.

There is no exam to be given. You can nominate yourself or be nominated by other MVPs for it.

Based on one's involvement here, for say 6m, I will request for a few details. I would personally visit the forums to check out the posts quality. If they look promising, I send the MS MVP forms to the person. It has details to be filled up, including ones' blogging activities, offline activities, participation in forums, etc. The decision ofcourse is 100% Microsoft's. While one can always apply to Microsoft, recommendations from an MVP carries some weight.
