Post Feedback: MaxCDN + Cloudflare on TWC

    Hi,

As I had mentioned earlier sometime back, we implemented CloudFlare a few months back on TWC. We have since the last 3-4 weeks also signed up for and implemented MaxCDN for the forum, as well as the TWC site, to make its speed faster.

Please let me know if you are finding that the forum loads faster OR if you are facing any issues while posting in the forum OR if things are working fine at you end. I am not facing any problems, but I thought maybe I should ask the others too.

    Hi !

As you already know Andy, i have noticed some problems...
For the rest of you, here are parts of one of my PMīs to Andy:

"Today when i was about to create a new post i noticed something under Posting Permissions:
    • You may post new threads
    • You may post replies
    • You may not post attachments
    • You may edit your posts

    HTML is off !
That explains why there is no CR/LF, and why bold & underline doesnīt work.
When i reported the problems i also noticed a problem with IE9, but thought i just hit the wrong key.
    Iīm sometimes typing too fast....

    Note: i normally use Firefox.

Today i saw it again, in this PM, iīm using IE9 now since FF doesnīt work.
If i type some words and the go back a few characters and press enter to get a newline then the CR/LF in entered at the wrong character.
Itīs inserted one character after the current cursorposition.
If you place the cursor here *Windows, immediately before W, then the W will remain on the line, and indows will be on the next line.
    "

And right now, while iīm writing this post using IE9, there is a delay when i move the cursor, it freezes for 10-30 seconds.
There is also some weird HTML-codes inserted into this post when itīs posted on the forum.
I have now edited the text, but suspects it will still look weird.

It would be great if other members could help us find the problem.
You can do what i did a few days ago, i created a test-post in the Clubhouse-section.
Then write something, try to use bold and underline, try entering CR/LF (press enter) in the middle of a word.
Post it, then try to edit your post.

Also, IE9 takes a long time to get to the forum after i click on my link, it starts displaying an errormessage in the tab: "Internet explorer cannot disp...", then after 20-30 seconds it shows the webbpage.
IE9 is also slow when i navigate in the forum.

We need to find the cause of all this.
It took me 30 minutes to post this because of all cursor-freezes....
I have no problems with Firefox on any other forums.
Personally i believe itīs because of MaxCDN which was activated just before my problems started.

But, as i already told you in my PM Andy, there is one easy (and fast) way to find the cause of all this: Turn off MaxCDN !

    Thank you.
As i wrote above iīm having BIG problems with Firefox....
And minor (although very annoying) problems with IE9.
So the question is: Are anyone else having problems with Firefox.... ?

To all members: if you respond to this thread saying you donīt have any problems, then please also say which browser you are using...

Maybe you need to check up on some of your forum settings.
