    Exclamation FFmeg - Windows Explorer encounterd a problem

    Sorry if this might be a repeat but I searched and couldnt find nothing helpfull. I have Windows XP and when I try to open an avi. file It tells me Windows Explorer encounterd a problem and needs to shut down when I report it, I get a FFmeg problem?? Is it some codec problem. PLEASE HELP!

    Hello,

    Its a codec. Seems like a damage codec please uninstall any codec software i.e players like K-Lite codec or VLC player then reboot and download a updated codec pack like K-lite codec pack and reinstall it. That should fix your problem.

    So I have VLC ill uninstall it then reboot and then download K-lite from where?
