    Default Windows Live Applications

I have just discovered how great Windows live applications are, how once you've signed in you get some really great things like sky drive and Live mail for example. I know this has been brought to the attention of the forum before, but I just wanted to share it again with my experience.

When signing in you are asked to provide a user name and if you choose one that is already used you get suggestions about others similar, or if it has not been used then you get a message to tell it is ok. Then it asks you to provide a password and gives you a security rating and suggestions about how the password should be done with combinations of letters and numbers. There is a strenght monitor which guides you so you get one that is strong.

Once signed in there are no nags about what you should have, so you choose exactly which applications you want and you can add to them all the time. You get your own home page. Anyway you can find out more yourselves by taking a look.

I have been very impressed, my mail comes to me and I can pick it up on my mobile phone (cell phone) and it is secure.

So go over to the live site I am sure you'll find at least one thing of interest.

    Thanks seti,
I only use Windows Live Messenger from time to time.
I didn't install other applications only because I do not need them.

And I often have to help people who do not know how to uninstall them, it seems a joke but it's true unfortunately, many people as you said do not read EULA and/or do not uncheck what they do not need

I use skydrive all the time. Easiest way to distribute large files that cannot be attached to mails or placed on a forum. And you get 25GB of free storage space.

The first thing I install on a fresh Windows installation is Live Essentials set without toolbar.
