Default How to cut scenes in Windows live movie maker?

I can't seem to understand and put into effect the method for cutting out scenes (frames) in WLMM. Would someone please send me detailed instructions. I've read some tutorials but somehow I still don't get it. I just want to remove bad scenes from a movie without messing up the good part.
Also, is there a way to remove a part of a long movie and make the removed part into a separate small movie, if so how?

I've read a lot of instructions before and tried trial and error and still can't do it so please make you instructions detailed yet simple.
    Thanks a lot

It is actually very simple. It needs more words to explain it then there is to it.
    1. stop the movie at the place where you want to start cutting out.
    2. Go to "Video tools" (all the way on top) and click on split
    3. continue to run the video to where you want to end the piece you cut out and stop the video again
    4. split here also
    5. now you have a seperate piece of the split part. Right click on that and Remove. When you save your movie parts later, all those removed parts will be gone.

Exactly WHS. Once you know how to do this, its very very simple. But I have come across many people who find it a bit confusing for the first time how to remove unwanted clips from the movie. They need step by step guide with screenshots.

Mainly Home users who prepare home videos will find the guide useful.

Actually people found the movie icon on the story board bit confusing as they could not make out after splitting. So its better to zoom out the time scale a bit.

Here is a little video tutorial I made the other day. I did not embed it because it works better directly from the link: WLMM Tutorial on Vimeo
