Thumbs up Windows Live Essentials 2011 released

Microsoft has released the final version of Windows Live Essentials 2011.

The Windows Live team has aimed to ensure that the next version of Windows Live Essentials takes advantage of Windows 7 fully. All applications now use the new ribbon UI and integrate further into Windows 7 by using Jumplists. Windows Live Sync is also included which keeps your files synchronized on the web and across multiple PCs.

Microsoft also introduced several new features for Windows Live Photo Gallery, including photo fusing to blend photos together and improved facial recognition.

Live Writer has always been my favorite. I am not so keen on other applications that are included. But the latest one (2011) is truly impressive. The performance is better compared to previous version.

That didn't work for me kept telling me it couldn't install. Maybe just a problem with my config all done now though

    Installed the Live Mail 2011
Can I hide the ribbon? Too much real estate.
Can I hide the calender and have the 2010 view? I.e. folders on left, unread messages on right.
(I suppose I really need to just step back to 2010!!)
