Windows Live Writer problem in theme detection for WordPress blog
Windows live writer is one of the best editor for publishing blogs. It makes easy blogging with its WYSIWYG feature. You can see your post in preview before publish them to your blog.
When you configure your blog to Windows Live Writer, after completion of authentication process, it will ask you to post a sample post to your blog so that it can actually get all the data. In this process it downloads blog’s CSS and images to your computer for the Edit and Preview mode while you work in Blog theme mode. After the downloading it will automatically delete the temporary post.
Sometimes we might get an Error like this
An unexpected error has occurred while attempting to log in:
Problem with the blog server – Server Error 405 Occurred
XML-RPC services are disabled on the site. An admin user can enable them at http://www.example.com/wp-admin/options-writing.php
If your blog’s XML-RPC services are disabled then you cannot have the permission to publish on the blog. In case of the WordPress blog the it shows the exact URL http://www.example.com/wp-admin/options-writing.php from where we can enable the settings.
