Windows 8 being released around a time frame of 2012. Perhaps the whole, “end-of-the-world” thing in 2012 really has something to do with Windows 8...

The end of the world blamed on Windows 8, no that will be when Google's Chrome is an operating system in the true sense Only joking? This is great news as we move forward and 8 will build on the good things of both vista and 7, so may be for some it might be worthwhile waiting for another couple of years to get it.

I agree with Jal, the beta is the way to go.

The Mayan Prophecy; In the year 2012 Microsoft will release "The Perfect OS" and that will surely trigger the end of the world. On the other hand if the release date gets pushed back we have more time to live. Tough call on that one!

If Apple releases "The Perfect OS" then we will have a new end of the world slogan. The Apocalypse; There's an App for that!!

the Doomsday will be marked on Dec 21st, 2012.....and I hope that Windows 8 RTM will finally launch before that !! :P
