Default Google toolbar discontinued for Firefox 5

Google has discontinued support for Google Toolbar on Firefox 5. For Firefox users, many features that were once offered by Google Toolbar for Firefox are now already built right into the browser. Therefore, while Google Toolbar for Firefox works on versions up to and including Firefox 4 only, it will not be supported on Firefox 5 and future versions, announced Google.

    Anyone affected here?

I've never been a fan of Browser Toolbars. Apart from taking up screen space, I have privacy concerns over them. No such thing as a free lunch. The Google Toolbar has been redundant for awhile on Firefox since the arrival of the add-on "Google Shortcuts - All Google Services at a glance":-
