Yes it integrates into the shell. Not the same as Ave's did, but until I get more experience with the Shell and possibly switching to C++, but I do have a workaround in VB.net to customize each selected folder.

To Kishan: I removed Ave's as well as the previous Registry settings and it still isn't working. I installed Ave's back again and yours and mine works, but only if I have Ave's installed. So it boils down to something Ave's is doing to the Shell

Ave's program is making my program not work. Will have to find a workaround for that.

hey man... great work on all this software... and the software i've downloaded from your site. Also, I downloaded the door2windows start button and I love it!! i've changed it on a few of my clients computers and they love it as well. I'm sure i'll be installing it on many more computers as well... Thanks for all the hard work you put into these programs. I use them everyday... still would LOVE a portable program to modify Visual Effects on Vista/7

    Thanks for the great software!

    Couple things..

Doesn't seem to work on my User folder in Win 7, although I can set it on my Downloads folder (I have not tried others). I do have a Live Mesh folder in my User folder..

Works on my C drive but the apply to sub folder option does not work on the Program Files folders, although it does work on the Windows folder.

The first time I ran it, all my desktop icons were pushed off my main monitor to my secondary monitor on my dual monitor setup.

Would love to get it working on my User folder as its the main folder I use the most. Thanks again for pretty slick app!

    Thumbs down

Ok, so how do I remove all traces of this from my system?

The first time I ran it, it changed all my view settings and has now forced the style of all folder columns to look like the hideous old Windows style ones.

I didn't even touch any of the settings yet, simply just ran the .exe.........

What OS are you running Dandere? Also, a screen shot of what you are talking about may be helpful. Also, try restarting, and if that doesn't work a system restore should.

^ Thats to avoid spammers (new members) from posting their shareware links! Saves us a lot of trouble deleting porn and other crap !

Pls post the link without the http/www and I will correct it.

Its a portable app. You have to simply delete the program folders to delete the program.

Also : Open Folder options > View tab > Folder View > Reset Folder view > Apply to all folders (Also in Advanced settings if you wish click on Reset Defaults) > Click Apply/OK.

Should help. If it doesn't, pls revert.

Hopefully you can figure this out.....

    Good, new-style column headers/columns:
HACH-TEE-TEE-PEE-COLON-SLASH-SLASH imgur DOT com SLASH 9SeEN

    Dirty, old-style columns/headers:
HACH-TEE-TEE-PEE-COLON-SLASH-SLASH imgur DOT com SLASH 71jZbl

And yes, after examining your screenshots more closely, I realize that this 'style' is intended, and I assume is required for the function of your program, however, it is not what I expected, and this type of 'column' uses much more closely spaced lines and after using the new-style view, I find it very cluttered looking and distracting.

... so, what exactly did this program of yours change upon first launch to force this terrible looking style, and how do I change it back?

Best practices for software development is to always include a way to reverse changes that your program makes to the system.

At the very least you could have provided a dialog box explaining that your program is going to make irreversible changes (irreversible with the software and documentation provided by you, at least) to the shell, with an option to cancel or continue.

Have tried all your options with no luck. I'm guessing it changed something in the registry, so deleting the portable app would have no effect at all...
