Angry Show Desktop Not Working after recent Windows 10 Update

Show Desktop "invisible" taskbar button stopped working after last major Windows update. The first time you click it, "+ Desktop" makes all open windows shrink to panes over desktop, and selecting one brings that window back up, but clicking the no-longer-functioning button does nothing. Ever.

I had to create a new shortcut (explorer.exe shell:::{3080F90D-D7AD-11D9-BD98-0000947B0257}) and pin it to the taskbar.

Does anyone have any idea whatsoever just what the HELL is going on and what to do about it?

    Default

    Is Win+D working?

Open Taskbar settings and ensure that the Use Peek to preveiew the desktop etc... setting is set to the On position.

Re-register the concerned DLL file by using the following command and see if that works for you:

    regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

    Hope something helps.
