Default Hard Drive in Device Manager But Explorer Can't See it. Win10. Why?

I have as Asus H170 running win10 and it has two seagate drives in it and an external seagate expansion drive.

I hook a WD drive on and it shows up in device manager but nowhere else.

What can I do about this?

Screengrabs of device manager and explorer listing.

Oh... I was going to post a link to an Imgur post showing the screenshots but I'm not allowed to post URL's.

So if you want to take the trouble you can find them at imgur.com/a/aH7TRTe

The 'new volume' and 'local disk' are both the one disk.

    can anyone help?

    Default

Do you see this disk in diskmgmt.msc rather ? If yes probably you can assign a drive letter to it and see if it resolves
