Default Changes & new additions in Windows 7 Build 7057, some missed - 03-18-2009, 05:43 PM

I know ArsTech has posted a detailed and exhaustive list of changes between the 7000 and 7057 builds of Windows 7.
But there were a few changes which they missed. Here is a small list of changes which i have noticed in 7057.

1. "Featured Updates" has been renamed to "Software Notifications" in the Windows Update settings.

2. The default setting for reporting problems has been set to "Ask before reporting".

3. The space between different jumplist options for Windows Live Messenger has seen a huge increase. Looks more spread out now.

4. Windows Media Player has seen quite a few updates.

* File Name options for Ripped Music has fewer tags to choose from now.

* A new entry has been added to the WMP options i think.

* I did not understand this behaviour, but a few of my album arts displayed the file type.

Yup.. It was not listed in ArsTech list. I will see what's there in 7057 build tomorrow. Download is in progress.

What about the performance compared to build 7000.

Does anyone know when the latest build will be released officially to the Beta testers?

Its much more stable than 7000. Especially IE. Its the final version of IE, and i simply cannot explain how much better it is than the slow and buggy IE8 beta 2 of 7000.

Otherwise, i think the performance of 7000 itself was excellent. The minor changes do make it much better in 7057, but nothing which expressly calls your attention.
