Default Looking for Application and Folder launcher for W7 - 04-03-2009, 03:56 AM

I used to have this nice setup in Vista with my AppLauncher in the sidebar and my private toolbar (by pushing a folder into the very top of the screen). This all worked fine. None of that works in W7. Now I have a ton of shortcuts on the desktop (which I hate, and don't know where to put them - and don't tell me to put them into the W7 taskbar. I really don't like it).
Has anybody run across a Program/Folder launcher that works in W7? I would be much obliged.

Ever used Launchy?

I recently installed it after hearing so much, and it's really growing on me.
Very handy app!

Does it run on W7

Just checked. Doesn't look like it. And it sounds kind of complex. I am looking for a "one click" deal.

I have not tried these not know if they work all all versions of Windows, but these are less of docks and more of a launcher.

I settled for "Rocket Dock". That works very well in W7. I like that it can "hide" and you can make it appear any time when "bumping" the top of the screen. It is also easy to set up - you just drag the shortcuts into it. Thanks again for all the good suggestions.

True, I had tried Rocket Dock about a year ago and there was some problem (of which I forgot the details). But now it seems to work well.
