I don't think that can be done via a GUI option, maybe a reg trick or something but all "Connect to" options now point to the network icon the start bar next to the clock.
How to make a Connect to Internet (BSNL) shortcut on W7 desktop? And then I want to pin it to taskbar. Like I could do in vista. Using RC.

So that means today to connevt to internet on w7, i have to click 3 times. on system tray icon, then in the white box and then again connect. can i do it in anyway in 1-2 clicks? could do it in vista by creating shortcut.
Open Network and Sharing Center and Click on Change Adapter Settings in left pane.
Now drag your connection to desktop or right click on connection and choose Create Shortcut.

You could set IE to start a connection.
IE -> Tools -> Options -> Connection -> Set it your defaul & choose the "Always dial default connection" option.
You'll be prompted with a dialler automatically when your PC tries to connect to an outside service but can't find a connection.
No I dont want that way iMav, I want like what Ramesh told.
But thank you both. Now tell me how to pin it to taskbar and I will buy you a beer when you are in my town![]()
