how to uninstall windows 7 ?

The easy way is to use the bootable Partition Wizard CD and delete the /7 partition. Question is, what do you want to do next.

This is not a direct answer to the question, but after installing Win 7 I wanted to revert back to XP. I got a pop up telling me I could not go backwards.....No way. I put the XP disk I begin tapping F8. This booted up the XP and allowed me to reinstall it. Why would MS tell me it couldn't be done, no matter what the reason I wanted to do it? I did get XP reinstalled on the one computer that has Win 7 on it.

That's exactly what I want to do.
I bought a laptop(new ) and the sales man that sold it to me installed Win 7 and I hate it, so I want to put XP on it.

Now you got a bigger problem. If this is a recent laptop, chances are that you will not find all the XP drivers for the hardware. So the driver question needs to be clarified first. But in any case, I would first take an image of Win7 to make sure that you can go back to it in case things do not work out and XP cannot be installed. Imaging with free Macrium - Windows 7 Forums
