Help: IE 10 Won't keep default browser settings. Need help.
Running Windows 7 x64 Professional. After installing The Microsoft Virtual Machine, Internet Explorer keeps displaying notice that it is not default browser, do I want to make it the default browser. I click Yes, It keeps repeating the notice each time I open the browser or a new tab. Have already gone into Tool/Internet Optioons & set IE as Default, but it won't stick. Anybody have a fix for this?
Most problems with IE are due to misbehaving add-ons so you might want to check there, or try running without add-ons and see what happens. Also, you can disable (uncheck) the setting where IE always checks to ensure it is the default under Internet Options > Programs.
If you have any alternative browsers installed, you might want to ensure they are not set to make them the default.
Have you installed any other browser? Maybe some other program keeps changing the status. Could you verify that first please?

Try YAC virus removal tool from virus-delete.com, it will helps to fix your browser setting, default homepage, default search engine. Such annoying notices will never show up again.
