    Default The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Error Number 0x800CCC0D

    kris here,

    not a techy or geek.. just a poor old lady who need help...I crashed computers.. and dont know how to fix..
    Don't have the money to get it fixed...
    please help..

    windows 7 32 xp
    home edition
    micro office
    errors all over..

    The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'P0P3', Server: 'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

    it booted me back to start...
    my cpu unstable...
    registry errors
    what can I say.... I need HELP....PLEASE..

    Please explain by what you mean by "CPU unstable..." and "Registry errors...". Are these error messages you are seeing?

    Did this problem just start?

    Note SMTP means "simple mail transport protocol" so this is clearly something to do with your email setup. Can you surf the Internet and do other tasks okay? What email program are you using.

    This message is often caused by an incorrect firewall setting. ZoneAlarm was known to cause these problem with Outlook.

    And could you tell us more about your computer hardware?
