Default Folders Slow to Open in Windows 7

I'm looking for a fix for eliminating a reload of a folder's contents every time I access it.

I recall some instructions given for this but am not able to locate them on the forum. Somewhere along the way I lost the setting and the fix itself.

Can anyone point me to this setting?

    Thanks!

I'm not sure that I follow what you mean. You open a folder and the contents have to load...

Now you can speed up the process a bit by changing some of the system's performance settings at Control Panel then System then Advanced then Performance.

    Red face Thank You!

I've followed the link and adjusted the settings. It worked!

Thanks, both of you, for your quick and informative help.
