Default I have a problem installing Malwarebytes AntiMalware

    W7 Home Premium 64-bit

I am the admin and only user on my pc, but when an upgrade of Malwarebytes AntiMalware can be installed
I get an Installer error: Please log in as an admin to install the new version of Malwarebytes.

I don't understand why this is going on and hope someone can help me.

Last time i tested MBAM it required Admin-elevation to install updates.
Which of course is really stupid....
Because if the user doesnt know the admin-password then MBAM will show itīs window repeatedly saying there is an update available.
    Very annoying...
But if you are using your admin-account then it should not complain.

Do you mean that you have download a new version and want to install it ?
I just tried to install the latest version (that i downloaded yesterday) using my admin account
MBAM starts the installation without any errormessages.
If īm using my user-account when i try to install then i only get the normal UAC-prompt.

Why donīt you ask about your problem on MBAMīs own forum ?
They should be able to gíve you a better answer.....

Moderator-note: Please use a better title for you thread next time.
When i saw "Admin trouble" i first thought you meant a problem with the Admins here at the forum...
Since your thread is about MBAM and an installer error, then why donīt you say so ?
Donīt expect any answers if other members can not understand what you need help with....

Please read the forum-rules: "4) Please search the forum first and then post in the right section.
Instead of just posting the title of your thread as, say, display problem,
please try to post it as, say, Display appears distorted at every start up or such... so as to describe the issue in short.
This will help folks to open your topic and help you better.
This will also help the forum, by way of good SEO.

    Hi japp,

I suggest you run the installer setup file as Administrator. Right-click on it and select Run as Administrator. It should work.

Hackerman1: I didn't think so far as to Malwarebytes forum.
They had the subject already so my problem is solved.

I will avoid using Admin in the subject.
