Default No to expanding Winodws Explorer

Is there a way to prevent Windows Explorer to expand the User list etc.?
I find this very annoying when I'm to find a drive........

    Hello,

Right click on the folder and uncheck Expand to current folder option, see if it helps.

    Hope this helps, Good luck

    Thanks.
The option is Collapse and Expand and only works each time. I want a permanent one.

In that case, you need to follow the registry manipulation mentioned here:

    Good luck again

Discovered a problem when trying to use the .reg files: They are for W8
    while I'm using W7.
Any .reg files for W7 as I've been messing up the registry before.
