Guide on Ccleaner request
I recently uninstalled Media Player Classic from my Win 7 system and replaced it with VLC Media Player; for some reason whenever I right-click on any music file and select the ‘Open With’ command followed by the ‘Choose Default Program’ command, Media Player Classic is still listed but greyed out.
I had this greyed-out entry removed by someone remote-accessing my system (and by using Ccleaner).
Due to my learning disability I couldn’t memorise the process for future reference.
As we all know there are numerous websites dedicated to Ccleaner, but I cannot find even one site describing how to cull obsolete entries.
Can someone please shed some light on how to do this as I have never even used this utility before.

CCleaner does not change the settings for which program to use for a certain filetype.
Control Panel → Default Programs → Set Default Programs
In the menu to the left: Click on VLC
Click Set this program as default
