Default Repair Windows Media Player Windows 7

Is there an easy way to re-associate media files with WMP? We have a 3rd party media player that once removed, doesn't re-associate media files to WMP. I'd like to package this repair utility to push to machines once we remove the old app.

I got Fix WMP from TWC and it doesn't seem to be able to be run silently. Anything anyone can recommend to do this A) programmatically and 2) silently.

You will have to How to change Default Programs in Windows 8/7

Fix WMP fixes WMP if it is not working.

I cannot get Windows 7 ult. To read any media with any player. I tried the post you made on 30th November 2014 " Enable disable DVD CD ROM Drives" this works but when I reboot it quits working.
