Question Kernel security check failure while installing 64bit Windows 10 over 32bit Windows 7

    First post!

I have a relatively older Dell Vostro laptop with a Core i5 (430M) that already has Win 7 Pro on it, 32 bit.

I'd like to install Win 10 64 bit on this machine, overwriting everything, from scratch. I created a USB boot disk with the Win 10 install files and when booting from it, I get a BSOD with "kernel security check failure" and then an auto reboot.

Based on what I've researched, I ran sfc /scannow (in normal mode) and the results were that there are some corrupted files, but couldn't be fixed. I ran Dsim /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth for issues and found none.

I then ran sfc /scannow in Safe Mode and same result as prior. Any ideas on how to overcome this issue?
