Default Unable to drag and drop anything!

My laptop has been unable to perform drag-and-drop on the desktop/in the file explorer/anywhere recently, and I have no idea what to do. I don't like the idea of disabling UAC to try (doesn't that pose a security risk?), and I've seen numerous suggestions on the web about pressing ESC, which doesn't seem to work either.

My laptop is an Asus Vivobook with a touchscreen. It's also gotten some other weird programs (chrome will freeze randomly, and when I open it up after closing it it only shows a white box. And when this issue happens I can't open task manager to end process, for some reason) but my AV can't detect any viruses.

Any advice? It's just getting annoying, I'm a student that needs to use drag and drop a lot lol. I've just been getting by with ctrl+c/v for copy/pasting files when I need to move something.

    Hello,

Please refer to following thread and try the suggestions mentioned there:

    http://forum.thewindowsclub.com/windows-7-management-support/32562-drag-drop-not-working-windows-7-explorer.html

If that doesn't helps, try this fix:

[FIX] Unable To Use Drag & Drop In Windows 8 - Kapil Sparks

    Hope something helps, Good luck
