    Default Error deleting folder. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable

    While deleting a folder which contains some data of 50gb an error message is popping up and the same is as follows.

    Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

    Please guide me how to delete the folder from my pc. I am using windows 8.1 (pro)

    You need to perform the Startup repair to deal with this error, refer:

    Startup Repair: frequently asked questions - Windows Help

    Sorry to say that, but this is not going to help. Startup/repair repairs only system folders and this is apparently a user folder. The link posted by HAK should do it though.

    Lol, TS not specified that which folder it was Well, the way I suggested might also help in case of Libraries (for ex. Pictures etc. folder). Let's wait for TS's response. Thanks whs for this clarification

    He said it was a 50GB folder.
