Default Problem Windows Time Service - 05-17-2009, 03:38 PM

When clicking on "System Performance" I get a popup saying that the "Windows Time" service could not be found on the computer. Well, on my German Vista system it is called "Windows-Zeitgeber" and it IS running.

From then on I can change anything in the panel but the APPLY button stays grey.

[QUOTE=KillianWC;133981]Very nice program but completely unusable with "Large Fonts" option enabled!
The big black left panel overlaps over text and options - checkboxes not available

thanx for your feedback. The issue identified and fixed too.

And not just ones that come with windows 7, ones like when the nvidia drivers install they put a really ugly looking icon in the control panel which I hate and would like to get rid of. I've seen ways to do it, with gpedit and such but it has never worked for me. I'd like a simple program like tweaker to take care of that. So if you could keep that in mind in a future build that would be great!

Thanks
thanx for your suggestion, we'll try.

Default Windows Ultimate Tweaker is not Displaying Correctly - 05-18-2009, 04:06 AM

Windows Ultimate Tweaker looks as if it would be a good program but I'm having a problem using it because I can't see the entire screen. The first column in the white is half covered not completely visible. For example if I choose Personalization in the black list this is what I see . .

isable full row select items
lide detail pane
how menu bar
lways show icons
nable check boses to select items

because I'm not seeing the beginning of that column I am also not seeing the check boxes.

My usual screen resolution is 1440 by 900. When this program was not displaying right I changed my display to match the reccomened resolution (1024 by 768) but this did not fix the problem.

I don't know how to fix this problem, any ideas?

This is what I am running:
Windows Vista Ultimate
Service Pack 1
32-bit Operating System

@ Marnie
The problem is identified and fixed too. Its happening due Large DPI.
Reduce the DPI setting to system defaults. and try

Personalize >> Adjust font size (DPI)
and choose 96dpi

Hi,

you pretend that your tool can enable Vista x86 memory support 4GB and above. However it does NOT work.

In my opinion the only solution to do that is here:

How to Enable, Use and Support 4GB or More Physical RAM Memory in 32-bit Windows Vista Tip and Trick

Hello!

I would just like to start off by saying that this is a GREAT program. Excellent idea!

However, the program crashes every time I use it. I believe that it is completing all the tasks as per usual, but it crashes, (and will not let me send an error report).

Also, the program isn't turning off UAC...everything else seems to be working though.

Any idea what is causing this?

I am using Vista Home Premium, SP 1

Thanks,

Shake_Well

I was looking for information on this problem, thanks.

Problem is identified and fixed. When you say fixed, do you mean that the only fix is to change our DPI? (I need the larger DPI). Or, do you mean that there is a fix, but it won't be until the next release? When's the next release (with fix)?

The last version 1.1, worked fine with the large DPI. I'm sure hoping that the next version will, too.

Thanks for a great program.

Thanks for your comment. The problem has been fixed in next release. The release date or time is yet to announce.

Cool Ultimate Windows Tweaker Error report button is grayed out - 05-25-2009, 09:38 PM

Hi,
The Ultimate Windows Tweaker v. 1.2 stops responding everytime i click the [Apply] button, but in the crash report window, the send report button is always grayed out, and so no error report is ever submitted to you. I have Vista Home Premium SP1 x64

Regards
Truud2
PS
One feature I miss from Tweak UI, is the simple redefinition of system folder paths. Is there a chance you will be implementing that in a future release of the Ultimate Windows Tweaker?
And while I'm at it: What about a desktop layout save and restore function?

DS

Is it possible to have it be able to run in non-admin (Users group), but hide system settings? Kinda like XP's TweakUI, it hides settings when run as a non-admin, settings non-admins wouldn't be able to change. Currently it requires elevation (probably set in the manifest?) so it wouldn't work.
