Default What is the best Dock Program? - 01-17-2009, 02:24 PM

I use RocketDock and love the dock concept, they also have thousands of cool icons you can download, but I have been thinking of switching to ObjectDock because it looks like they offer more useful Docklets.

What do others use and what do like and not like about them?

Obviously, ObjectDock is the best.

Do you use the $20 premium or just the free?

Default rocketdock inquiry - 01-20-2009, 03:11 AM

some questions here-

1) does rocketdock accept objectdock dock themes

2) is rocketdock totally free -unlike objectdock which has plus version

3) does rocketdock use less resource like objectdock

kind of delaying on buying the plus version..its 19.95 hmmm

I just switched from RocketDock to ObjectDock free version. I see no reel need for the paid version and performance is the same. I switched mainly because ObjectDock has more useful Docklets than RocketDock. Icons for both are just PNG files so they are transferable.

As far as themes, they do not swap directly but I did do some copy/paste work with the graphics files in my RocketDock theme so the theme was the same when I moved to ObjectDock.

I discovered the docklet difference in searching for a solution to a broken FN key on my daughters laptop. She could not change the volume using the FN key anymore and I found several very nice volume/mute docklets for ObjectDock that solved the problem completely.
