The History of Microsoft.

Channel 9 is running a series called "The History of Microsoft" that chronicles the struggles and successes of Microsoft covering a year per episode starting with it's inception in 1975. There is a new episode every Thursday with rare footage. Thanks for the heads up mvark.

Thirty-four years ago, a nineteen year old kid and his twenty-two year old business partner sold their first program to a little computer company in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The program was called BASIC, and it was the start of this company we call Microsoft.

I would also recommend watching the documentary (not entirely about Micosoft but something along these lines) called "Download: The true story of the Internet" As the host says about the whole thing, "You need to be a big time geek to get all excited about this". It aired in March..May be you can get a DVD copy.
