Default Leopard Theme for Windows 7 - 06-20-2009, 01:09 AM

Many users have already installed the Leopard theme for Windows Vista. But they were looking for a Leopard theme for Windows 7. So, ~alkhan has created a Leopard theme for Windows 7. It will work only in Windows 7 RC (Build 7100). To install it, follow the tutorial:-

1. Download and extract the rar file from the link given below.

2. Download and extract the UX Theme patch for Windows 7 RC (Build 7100) from the following links:-

6.1.7100.0_XX.rar

6.1.7100.0_XX_AMD64.rar

3. Copy the “themes” folder from the theme archive to “%windir%/Resources/“.

4. Goto “%windir%/System32” and take ownership of “ExplorerFrame.dll“, “shell32.dll“, “themeservice.dll“, “themeui.dll” and “uxtheme.dll“. If you don’t know how to take ownership of any file then goto this link and follow the tutorial.

5. Once you have taken ownership of the files, rename them to “ExplorerFrame.dll_old“, “shell32.dll_old“, “themeservice.dll_old“, “themeui.dll_old” and “uxtheme.dll_old”

6. Goto “%windir%” and take ownership of “Explorer.exe“.

7. Open the “windows\system32” folder from the theme archive you have extracted.

8. Copy and paste both the files to “%windir%/System32“.

9. Open the “windows” folder from the theme archive you have extracted.

10. Copy the file to “%windir%“.

11. Open the UX Theme archive you have extracted.

12. Copy all the files to “%windir%/System32“.

13. Apply the new theme called “Leopard OSX“.

That’s it. Now restart your computer to see the new theme.

Nice theme, but any one want this? Win 7 looks better than Mac OSX, isnt it?
If anyone was using XP, then this might be good, not Win7.

Nice, theme. In fact I have covered this theme in my one of "7 fantastic Windows 7 themes" post.

One more thing. The best way to patch Windows files (XP, Vista or 7) is to use UxStyle, which is very handy to use third-party themes in Windows. You can download it here.

Technically this isn't a theme. It's a transformation pack.
