    Default Windows 7 Visual Effects

Anyone know of a portable program or one that doesnt need to be installed to modify the Visual Effects in Windows 7? Its getting old manually doing this on every PC I work on and have been looking for a program, script, or .reg file to modify these settings to my liking....

    Thanks for any help!

Does this not do all that you need?

Rt click Computer > Properties > System Properties > Advanced > Performance > Settings.

If you need to access it frequently, you could create its shortcut using:
    RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL sysdm.cpl,,3

Or is there something more you are looking for? perhaps you want to check out UWT too.

Thanks for replying! The short cut is actually a great idea. But, what i'm actually looking for is a .reg or script file to automaticly change the visual effects setting. There are only about 5 that I use and need an easy way to modify them. Is it possiable to create a .reg file to do this?

Actually, there are 10 visual effects I use on any PC are the following:

Animate windows when min. and max.
Animations in the taskbar and start menu
    Enable Aero Peak
    Enable desktop comp.
    Enable transparent glass
    Show thumbnails instead of icons
    Smooth edges of screen fonts
    Smooth-scroll list boxes
User drop shadows for icons on the desktop
Use visual styles on windows and buttons

I played around and played around and my advice would be keep doing the settings through Windows Effects. The hoops you have to go through to do it other ways are more time consuming than the built in function.

I won't give up though. If I come up with something I'll definately share it

I would like easier ways as well. I constantly set pc's up, and I'm always looking for quick clicks to apply my fav settings without spending hours tweaking

I can do it for you...but wanna say that you will have to restart or logoff your PC to take effect.
