    Default Window and Icons

    Hi,

I was using Linux recently and liked how many icons were kept in a folder.

I would like to translate the idea to Vista.

Can I create a window and copy icons to it. If so, please advise.
It would also be nice to be able to modify the colour scheme and especially the background.

    Thanks

An icon is just a file. You can copy/paste it into any folder.

Yes it will. Why don't you just try it.

You can also drag it into the folder - e.g. from the desktop. But that is like a 'Move' operation.

Make sure the icon is a shortcut to the executable, not the actual executable. If it's on the desktop, it's more than likely the shortcut. But, if you are browsing the drive looking for the icons, it's best to create a shortcut then move it into the folder you want.
