    Default Vista Home Premium 32bit

    I have an Acer ASE380 UD480A AMD 64x2 2.5mhz
    ATI SAPPHIRE 3870 / 400GB HD / 4GBRAM / 550WATT PSU

    I have been having a problem with my computer, when it idles for about 15min unattended when i return it is frozen mouse pointer just spins and nothing else, then the program i tryed to click on turns transparrent. I then have to do a hard reset about 10 times a day.

    I checked my power management setting are to never hibernate or never sleep. power supply voltage through the everest reading on the rails are matched, temps are ok. I dont know what else to do besides reloading it. HELP ME!

    ps. Never Overclocked the system, all factory settings.

    Sounds like a hardware problem, talk to the people you got it from frist and see what they say.

    it is quite well known issue, to overcome this problem you have to install some windows updates and follow some suggested steps. follow the link below for solution.

    How much amps does the PSU give on 12V lines .. check powercalculation site dont remem which it is just input ur components and you will know how much watts is required...u ll get some idea on this one..

    Install latest Service Pack for Windows Vista and Windows Updates.

    I would also suggest checking your drivers and the website of acers to see if they have new BIOS updates and such(not sur if it will help but it means your lappy is up to date)
