What is the model of your router?

There should be very little what is needed in terms of configuration. In my case, configuring the basic operation of my router, involved only setting of Wireless Network Name (SSID) and Wireless Security.

If you contact your ISP provider they should be able to help. However, if you have already used your router to connect, then when you used it in the configuration settings, placing the IP Address in the address bar, you should have been taken to the screen where you have to put in details, like your user name and password. On the far left of the screen there would have been in the blocks items like connect to internet, etc. One of these would have been wireless connection. You should be able to do it from there.

Having said all of the above the best advice is to contact your ISP help desk and get them to talk you through it, that way you know it is done correctly, take notes of what they tell you for reference. I had to do this as I was unsure and my ISP helped me and I have had no problems as a result.
