good find, I know this key works in trial mode (NIS 2010 will keep on asking to pay for the full version), however it works

I asked a Symantec reprentative if they still distribute their software with ask toolbar bundled and he said me they stop dealing with ask.com.
However Softpedia still states Norton is ad-supported

Yes, there is no way to uncheck it!
But you may disable the unwanted add ons

Yes you can't uncheck "ask com toolbar" during NIS and NAV installation, simply there are no options, but you can disable "Safe Search" add on within Internet Explorer and Firefox.
"Safe Search" is the ask toolbar renamed by Symantec

it´s to late now to get it now, the offer has ended...
i wasn´t really interested in getting it anyway.

i´m using MSE, Avira, A2, MBAM, Comodo´s firewall & defence+, Winpatrol & a HOSTS-file, perhaps i don´t need more ?
