    Default Create rules with AppLocker to an executable

    AppLocker gives administrators the ability to specify which users can perform specific applications....
    AppLocker is available in all editions of Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise

    at first you must start the application using the console Identity snap-in

    1.To start the Identity application, click on Start / Run and type services.msc. In the console snap-in look for the identy service application, right click and select Properties. In the dialog box click on Automatic, click Start and then click OK. Close the Services window and continue

    2. click on the Start button, programs and files in the Search box, type secpol.msc and then press ENTER. You can also: Click the Start button and then click Control Panel / System and Security and then click Administrative Tools and then click Local Security Policy.

    NOTE: If you see the UAC dialog box, confirm that the action displayed by clicking Yes

    3. In the console I double-click on the criteria of application control and then AppLocker. right click on Rules Executables. (Note that you can automatically generate rules for executables, Windows Installer and script), then click Create new rules

    4. On-screen viewing "Before you start" click on Next.

    5. click on Allow or Deny to allow or deny the files included in the rule

    6.click Select. In the dialog box Select group or user typed the name of the user or group, and then click on OK, or click on Advanced / Find and select the user, then click Next.

    7. click on the appropriate condition for this rule. You can select from Author, Path or Hash file, and then continue with Next

    NOTE: Depending on the conditions SELECTED FOR THE RULE IS REQUIRED DIFFERENT CRITERIA

    RULE OF AUTHOR.
    Click Browse to select the file for which you want to extract information about the author. To change this information, select the check box Use custom values and then change the values. And finally click on Next.
    PATH RULE.
    Navigate to the file or folder by clicking Browse or Browse Folders file. If you wish, you can type the path in the Path box. And finally click on Next.
    RULE OF HASH FILE.
    Navigate to the file or folder by clicking Browse or Browse Folders file. And finally click on Next.

    8. In the Name box, type a name used to identify the rule



    9. In the Description box, type a description to explain the purpose of Rule

    10. Then click on Create and you're done!

    Wow Windows Seven (Ultimate and business editions) users will be able to block viruses too thanks to Applocker I presume

    Surprised AppLocker is not available in Windows 7 Professional.
