This may help get it uninstalled.

MSE will not open. Unable to uninstall MSE. Add/Remove Programs will not uninstall MSE. Tried a new download of MSE and am advised that cannot have two MSE programs on same computer. Can't install and can't uninstall.

Were you running Beta or the released version?

^ That looks like a useful link and should help you.

One can also always request support from Microsoft here for MSE.

How about trying The Windows Club's very own Fix MSE Utility v 1.0. Tool.

Just in case anytime, you find that you are facing any issues in running Microsoft Security Essentials due to any reasons, simply run this utility. This utility will restore all its registry values & service settings to known good defaults, without re-installing MSE. It also re-registers the concerned .dll and .exe files, required to run MSE properly. The utility may take only a moment to run, but rest assured, it does the job! It works on both 32bit and 64bit of Windows Operating Systems.

Well now isn't that just what the doctor ordered.

I know there is a download link on the main page and a download area in the forum but would it make sense to have a designated area for downloads of apps/fixes developed by The Windows Club members.

Or am I overlooking something already in place.

You can find all apps/fixes developed by TWC members with this tag: TWC App | The Windows Club

That isn't intuitive though so perhaps a more obvious solution will be added, such as a tab for that tag.
