Default Vista Home Premium SP2 32 bit + Avira (free version) + ?

    Hi,

I am using the free version of Avira. Windows Defender is turned on. Vista's firewall is on. Do I have adequate protection?

    Thanks

Iīm not sure itīs a good idea to have windows defender on, because there might be conflicts with Avira.
I suggest to turn it off.
    It doesnt help much anyway...

I am not seeing any messages.

Does this indicate there are no conflicts?

If there are no messages, how can I investigate to see if there are any conflicts

    You canīt.
Just follow my advice and turn off defender.
As i already said: "It doesnt help much anyway...".
There is no good reason to have it on when you have Avira, you are just asking for problems.
