Wink Rename Recycle Bin - 08-20-2008, 06:51 AM

You can rename My Documents in Desktop, you can rename My Computer in Desktop, but when you try to do the same for Recycle Bin alas, there is no option to rename it.
Now there should be some method, right? That lead me to this trick. It's not actually a trick for anyone who knows the intricacies of your registry.
But for anyone out there who just want to call their Recycle Bin some fancy name, here is how to do so:

- Click Start>Run> type in the box regedit
- In the registry window that comes up navigate to the following folder: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam\MUICache
- Double click on following value in the right pane. Scroll down, it's there... @C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHELL32.dll,-8964
- Change it to anything you want to name your Recycle Bin as.
- Click OK and exit registry. Come to Desktop and refresh desktop by pressing F5.

Done, See what have happened, your Recycle Bin now has a custom name.
