Change The Default USB Drive Icon

Few days ago, we had written a tutorial on how to change the drive icons in Vista and XP. Today, we will show you a similar trick to change the default icon of your USB drive by placing an autorun.inf file in USB drive. Moreover, you can assign different icons to different USB drives. You need to have a good looking icon before starting the trick (A simple word "icon pack" will you show thousands of icon packs).
1. Copy and paste the below code in your Notepad:

[autorun]
Label=Tweakwindows
Icon=Star.ico


Replace the TweakWindows with your drive name (you can assign any name) and Start.ico with the name of the icon which you are going replace with the default one.
2. Now, save this notepad file as autorun.inf in the root of USB drive. If you have not connected USB drive to system, save it on desktop and then, move it to the root of USB drive.

3. Paste the new .ico(mine is Star.ico) image file in the root of USB drive.
4. Safely remove the USB drive and reinsert the drive to view a new icon.
