I really not sure because I am hearing many reports of Windows Vista 64 bit users not being able to see anything about SP2 once they try the batch file hack. Nothing ever appears for SP2. I am having the same issue and I have tried ever batch file out there. Of course I went back to a fresh image each time before the previous batch file was set. None of them worked. I tried everything. Nothing.
People are claiming though there is a Windows Vista 64 bit version of SP2. I seen plenty of images of it I just can't see how there is when so many people with Windows Vista 64 bit are having problem even seeing SP2 in windows update.
mfisher1967: While I have not installed the pre-beta SP2, I have not come across reports that its installation results in a water stamp being placed on desktop.
I do believe that one would have to unistall this pre-beta once the next SP2 version is released. I agree, since mine too is a primary work computer, I too have chose not to install it.
Miller1236: Regarding Vista SP2 for Vista x64, I am inclined to agree with most of what Flex has said. I therefore, suggest you wait and watch the developments, until you get a positive signal from someone.
BTW, people are reporting that login and startup are now much faster after this pre-beta SP2, and programs are launching quite a bit quicker as well. RAM usage also appears to have dropped.

Although, I haven't got the watermark on my desktop, I have read in some other forum
that they have got a watermark

What about all the bugfixes that MS will be releasing for Vista (post-SP1) between now and when SP2 goes live? are some/all of those fixes in SP2 Beta?
