Run your own videos as screensaver

It is extremely easy to run your own videos as screensaver. All you have to do is:

a) Put your video into a seperate folder – I have only tested videos with .wmv filetype – e.g. as produced by Windows Movie Maker. But other filetypes like .mp4 may work too.
b) Right click on the desktop and go to Personalize > Screen Saver
c) Follow the steps on the picture below

What do you care - when the screensaver is running, you are not doing anything anyhow. And when it is not running, it uses no resources at all. Maybe a few bytes for the settings.

Screensaver as wallpaper would be nice - if I only had Ultimate.

I'm all about taking care of the environment and doesn't it make more sense for your monitor to go in standby after 1 minute than have a screensaver come on? Seems like a waste of power to me...

Also reviced one of those digital picture poster frames for Christmas.... I don't feel like staring at a frame to see pictures of my family. I have enough to view when I want on my social profiles and flickr...anyone else feel this way?

In principle you are right. But I keep my webradio from Europe running all day. The only way to get something on the horn that is not cluttered with commercials ( I never watch or listen to anything with commercials). So, the screensaver undoubtedly comes on. It also gives my Norton IS 2009 a chance to do the scans during idle time.
