Default Unread mail count on login screen for Windows 7?

WinXP used to show the unread mail count on the user login screen. In Win7 the unread mail count is kept in several locations in the registry but I have not been able to find a key or registry hack to have this info show on the login screen.
Anyone know how to achieve this??

As far as I know Windows Vista and Windows 7 no longer support showing Unread Mail Count on Welcome screen.
