Speed up Menu Show Delay in Windows

Ok here is how to speed up the Menu Delay Show for windows 7, I have not tried this on Vista.

Please remember to back up your registry before performing Reg Hacks.

1. Open the Start Menu - then type regedit in the search box and press Enter.

2. In regedit, navigate to - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\desktop

3. In the right pane, right click on MenuShowDelay and click on Modify.

4. Type in a number between 0 to 4000 - for how many milliseconds you want the Menu to wait before it opens, the lower the number, the faster the response time.

5.Click on OK to apply.

6. Close regedit.

7. Then all you do is restart the computer to apply the changes or Restart Explorer.

To restart Explorer without rebooting, open the Task Manager Ctrl+Shift+Esc and end the Explorer.exe process. Then create a new task under File and paste explorer.exe.
