Default Device Encryption in Windows 8.1

Device Encryption is a new facility in Windows 8.1. It applies only to small devices that meet certain requirements. It can be a great help bit also a pain depending how you use your device.

I have been playing around with it for a while and documented my findings. I have uploaded my report to my OneDrive. If you left click on the tile in OneDrive, you can read it in your browser. If you right click on the tile in OneDrive, you can download the PDF.

Yes, it is a lesser known, but useful feature, available on all devices that support InstantGo.

Thanks for posting about it whs.

No problem Anand. I was facing the Device Encryption in an Asus T100 and an Asus x205. It was an uphill battle before I had figured out how to deal with it. So I thought writing it all down may be useful for other's that face the same problem.

I just saw that I made a typo. It is the Asus X205 not X250. Sorry.
