Woke up to a new bookmark's page in Chrome - and I DO NOT like it

I want those tiles or list view to be history.

Is there a way to get the old one back?

Best way I dealt with such pages, I created on my hard-drive my own default home page, and "hard-wired" IE, GChrome, FF to use that hard-drive html as home page. From that home page, I can go anywhere anytime. I know of no way to go back into history and use a past page -- unless one can copyNpaste that desired html onto the hard-drive, make a few necessary tweaks, and "hard-wire" that page into IE, GChrome, FF.

I'm getting the bookmarks like this when using ctr+shift+O. Before, the bookmarks were listed with folders etc. and that's what I want back again.

Problem solved after a crash of my Chrome settings.. Something slipped through my defences and made the changes.
